In a bizarre crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine cult.
The adventure centers on "peculiar trials and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana together with numerous items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
